Paralympic athlete Lindi Marcusen trains at Whitworth

Whitworth wishes the best to Spokane athlete Lindi Marcusen as she represents Team USA at the 2024 Paralympics in track & field! She has been training at Whitworth with one of our own, Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Paul Werhane ’11, who has served as one of her strength and conditioning coaches through Parasport Spokane for the past two years. Over that time, Marcusen has made huge improvements in her 100-meter sprint time and now holds the American record for the T63 category! Whitworth’s Human Performance Lab in the new Dornsife Health Sciences Building offers top-of-the-line, adaptable strength equipment that has helped maximize her training.

KREM recently interviewed Marcusen on Whitworth’s Boppell Track. Learn about this athlete’s story, and her incredible accomplishments and determination, here: https://www.krem.com/article/sports/olympics/spokane-paralympic-athletes/293-1826719d-b04e-4098-93bf-dc7d6c264fa5
