Whitworth’s Ethics Bowl team is headed to nationals once again. The Philosoraptors took first place at the Northwest Regional Ethics Bowl on Nov. 23 at Pacific Lutheran University. The team analyzed 12 different cases including cellphone bans in schools and the use of AI facial recognition in airports.
Team members include Ryan Burgess ’25, Samantha Ellis ’27, Angélique Kaupa ’27, Nabi Khan ’25, Olivia Kizer ’28, and Melaina Kloberdanz ’27. The team is coached by Keith Wyma, professor of philosophy, and Rebecca Korf ’15 with help from Jed Young ’22.
