Congratulations to theology and communication double major Charis Anne Tiamson ’26! Tiamson was awarded the Sermon Prize at the Great Lakes Theology and Preaching Conference held at Western Theological Seminary earlier this month for her sermon, “To Bear the Image of God is to be Loved First.” The Sermon Prize honors excellence in undergraduate preaching and recognizes a student who “demonstrates theological depth, scriptural insight and skill in the art of proclamation.”
Tiamson attended the conference with Professor Jonathan Moo, who served as the conference’s plenary lecturer and preacher. After graduating, Tiamson hopes to spend a year on the East Coast near her grandmother while growing her skills in the field of communication and trusting God to guide her next steps into deeper theological study.
