Students on the International Business in Southeast Asia Jan Term program gained firsthand exposure to global businesses while building professional connections across continents. Led by Associate Professor of International Business Todd Friends, the Whitworth contingent visited businesses in Singapore and Malaysia and was hosted by global executives.
Beyond the boardroom, students spent time with locals to experience daily life in Singapore and Malaysia; attended St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Kuala Lumpur, home to an international congregation; and explored cultural and historic landmarks. The journey concluded with renewal at an eco-resort community in Thailand on the Andaman Sea.
It is Whitworth experiences like this that broaden students’ global perspectives while preparing them to engage confidently in an interconnected world.
