Please join us in celebrating an incredible milestone for Whitworth University! Our new Model United Nations (MUN) Club recently competed in its first conference and came home with the top honor.
Model UN simulations challenge students to act as diplomats, researching real‑world global issues while being evaluated on diplomacy, policymaking and effective public speaking.
Earlier this month, Whitworth MUN competed at SUNGOD MUN III, hosted by the University of California San Diego, going head‑to‑head with some of the strongest programs on the West Coast, including USC, UC Irvine and UC Santa Cruz. Whitworth came home with the award for Best Large Delegation, the highest award at the conference, and its members earned top-three individual finishes in every single committee. Whitworth proved it belongs on the national MUN stage. What an incredible start. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
